Car slams into a Orlando Firetruck on I4

Writer: jasonhooper7jasonhooper7

A crash involving an Orlando firetruck sent four firefighters and two civilians to a hospital on Sunday.

Officials said the driver of a car on Interstate 4 near Orange Blossom Trail was speeding when it hit the firetruck.

This is the second truck to be hit on Orlando's high speed roadways in under two months. What could of easily been a tragedy was avoided due to the apparatus placement that was protecting the firefighters while they were operating on the scene.

The four crew members aboard were taken to a hospital for evaluation, as well as the driver of the car and a passenger. All Orlando firefighters are cleared to return for duty.
